Improvaganza 2023 runs June 14th – 24th

Edmonton’s international improv and sketch comedy festival returns for 2023! Some of the best improvisers from across Canada and North America come to Edmonton for 10 days of improv and sketch comedy. Rapid Fire Theatre is hosting some of the funniest acts on the planet at this comedic spectacle of epic proportions. Ticket prices $25 at the door, and deals for multiple shows and student.

Whyte Avenue Art Walk runs July 7th – 9th

Whyte Avenue (82 Ave) from 102 St to 106 St

The Whyte Avenue Art Walk is Edmonton’s first Art Walk with 400 artists lining the streets of Old Strathcona during the second weekend in July to share their creative talents. People are invited to buy art directly from the artists and watch as they create. All visual artists, brave enough to share their work, are welcome to participate. The Art Walk is a non-juried event that attracts professional artists, amateurs, and students.

Edmonton International Street Performer’s Festival runs July 7th – 16th

Churchill Square downtown Edmonton at 100 St and 102 Ave

The Edmonton International Street Performers Festival transforms Churchill Square into an outdoor 3-ring-circus featuring the world’s best local, national and international street performers. StreetFest delivers spectacle, comedy, music, variety performances and physical feats, as well as workshops to help release your own inner-entertainer. Be part of the crowd and take in an incredible circle-show, actively engage with an installation, watch mimes pull laughs out of thin air or let the roving performers bring the show to you. A whirlwind of acts, a tempest of entertainment, a deluge of fun – all on street level. Larger-than-life entertainment of the ages, suitable for all ages.

Admission to the festival is totally free! In the ‘Pass the Hat’ tradition of busking, if you see something you love, you can pay them as much as you’d like.”
