Prices for detached homes down 9.0%, town-homes down 4.3%, and condos down 0.1% year over year.
Total value and number of sales is down about 50% while inventory is up 21.3%!
There is a stalemate between buyers and sellers.
Buyers are holding off from buying (even though inventory is up) to wait for better deals and properties that need less work.
Sellers are not ready to reduce their prices and are waiting for the spring market and a repeat of the last spring market.
As the weather warms up we will see this stalemate resolve – more buyers will be out looking to buy, prices will adjust and the market will really get moving!
